October 28, 2006: Morning Finals and Peter Vanderkaay

Is this the end to swimming as we know it? Has sport succombed totally to commercialization? This week we talk about the IOC’s terrible decision to contest finals at the 2008 Olympics in Beijing in the morning and how the powers that be must work to capitalize on this opportunity because finals alone at the Games will not make the difference.  We also had an opportunity to catch up with Peter Vanderkaay and learn what it was like to train in a program like Club Wolverine.
